Atmospheric carbon dioxide records from sites in the
NOAA/CMDL air
sampling network
ULAAN UUL
Trends
The NOAA/CMDL sampling site at Ulaan Uul, Mongolia, is operated in
cooperation with the Mongolian Hydrometeorological Research
Institute. The first NOAA/CMDL flask air samples from Ulaan Uul
were collected in 1992. The 1992 annual atmospheric CO2 mixing
ratio of 356.3 parts per million is comparable to other Asian
measurements (e.g., Qinghai Province). During the first year of
measurements, the minimum mixing ratios were measured during July,
and the maximum mixing ratios, during April.
