GLODAP Bottle Data ODV* Collection

The GLODAP Bottle Data collection was created for the Ocean Data View (ODV) users. This collection consists of 12,470 hydrographic stations: 5,126 Atlantic Ocean hydrographic stations, 4,900 Pacific Ocean stations, and 2,440 Indian Ocean hydrographic stations.

If you do not have the ODV multi-platform software (ODV-V2.0) you can copy one from the Ocean Data View software web site. Use the ODV web site instructions to download the ODV program.

ODV is a software package for the interactive exploration and visualization of oceanographic and other geo-referenced profile or sequence data. ODV runs on Windows (9x, Me, NT, 2000, XP), UNIX (Solaris, Irix), Linux and Mac OS-X systems. The data and configuration files are platform-independent and can be exchanged between different systems (Schlitzer, R. 2004. Ocean Data View-Version-2.0).

To install a dataset, download the zipped data file to the base directory of your ODV data and unzip the file. During unzipping make sure you restore the directory structure stored in the zip-file (e.g., use "unzip " or "pkunzip -d ", etc.). Open the data collection with Ocean Data View.
