Methane concentrations from Agage Stations in the Northern and Southern Hemispheres
Methane concentrations from Agage stations at Mace Head, Ireland and Cape Grim, Tasmania. Southern hemisphere concentrations are out of phase with those of the northern hemisphere and are lower because of lower emissions. Greater distance from the important sources may help to smooth the southern hemisphere curve. Of some interest is a recent increase in atmospheric methane (CH4) after a leveling off in the last few years. AGAGE files are located here. The Recent Greenhouse Gas Concentrations page is located here. |
