Column 6 gives the temporally smoothed data obtained by the curve fitting technique of Cleveland(1), and column 7 gives the residuals from that curve. Column 8 gives the results of fitting 2 harmonics to column 7, to obtain the seasonal component. Column 9 is the deseasonalized trend (data minus seasonal component); column 10 is the sum of the long-term trend and the seasonal component, and column 11 is the departure of the data from column 10.
