Cited from WHP Data Reporting Requirements (Rev. 1, July 1991) Table 3.9: Water Sample Quality Flag Definitions FLAG DEFINITION 1 = Sample for this measurement was drawn from water bottle but analysis not received. 2 = Acceptable measurement. 3 = Questionable measurement. 4 = Bad measurement. 5 = Not reported. 6 = Mean of replicate measurements (No. of replicates should be specified in the -.DES file and replicate data tabulated). 7 = Manual chromatographic peak measurement. 8 = Irregular digital chromatographic peak integration. 9 = Sample not drawn for this measurement from this bottle. FCO2 Investigator Specific Flags: A = No corresponding TCO2 for fCO2 data reduction. B = No corresponding potential temperature. C = No corresponding TCO2 and potential temperature. D = Use estimated TCO2 in fCO2 data reduction. E = Use estimated potential temperature in data reduction. NOTE: A,B,C = Investigator specific flags. Concise, accurate definitions must be included in the .DES file for these flags. Please check the .DES file before using in order to avoid conflict with other investigators.
