GROWN IN OPEN-TOP GROWTH CHAMBERS AT ELEVATED CO2 CONCENTRATIONS (+0, +75, +150, +300, +600 PPMV) WERE EVALUATED OVER A FOUR MONTH PERIOD. THE SEEDLINGS WERE GROWN IN NUTRIENT-DEFICIENT (NOT NUTRIENT-LIMITED) SANDY LOAM TOP SOIL TAKEN FROM AN OLD FIELD. PLANT DRY WEIGHT, HEIGHT, AND STEM DIAMETER WERE MEASURED PRIOR TO AND FOLLOWING EXPOSURE TO ELEVATED CO2 CONCENTRATIONS. CHEMICAL ANALYSES WERE PERFORMED ON LEAF, STEM, AND ROOT TISSUES AS WELL AS LEACHATE BEFORE AND AFTER EXPOSURE. DATA FORMAT: TWENTY-TWO DOS ASCII TEXT FILES ARE PROVIDED INCLUDING THIS DESCRIPTIVE FILE (NDP009.TXT), SEVEN DATA SETS, AND A FORTRAN (*.FOR) AND SAS (*.SAS) RETRIEVAL CODE TO READ AND PRINT EACH DATA FILE.
