December 6, 2006 ---------------- Posted the first version (V001) of the Level 2 (L2) files for the Park Falls (WLEF tall tower), Wisconsin site (US-PFa). The files span the period 1995 to 2003. February 18, 2007 ----------------- Posted the first version of the Level 3 and 4 (L3 and L4) files for US-PFa. The L3 and L4 files cover the period 1996 to 2003. February 25, 2008 ----------------- Posted the second version (V002) of the L2 files for US-PFa. The new L2 files cover the period 1995-2005. April 18, 2008 -------------- Posted the V002 L3 and L4 files for US-PFa covering the period 1996 to 2005. September 27, 2008 ------------------ The V002 L3 and L4 files were removed from the CDIAC FTP server at the request of Ken Davis and team. The processing routines and modeling framework used to produce the L3 and L4 files are not able at present to adapt to varying measurement heights, which are considerable at WLEF, and thus yield questionable results for this site. Future L2 files produced by CDIAC for US-PFa will better reflect representative NEE values over the course of the day. October 23, 2008 ---------------- Posted new L2 files (V003) for the Park Falls site. These new files report the preferred NEE, LE, and H values provided by Ken Davis & team and from their preferred measurement height (396m, 122m, and 30m) depending on the time of day and stability considerations and according to the flag codes provided in the Park Falls Level 1 files. The CO2 concentration measurements also reflect the height from which the NEE, Fc, and SCO2 values are taken and are reflected in the CO2 measurement height field in the L2 files. Previous Level 2 files and their corresponding L3 and L4 files were derived from only two heights, 396m and 30m, and based only on time of day (i.e., 396m during the day and 30m at night). May 19, 2011 ------------ New L2 files (V004) were posted for US-PFa. These new files cover the period 1995 to 2010.
