Candidate Lead Author’s Workshop, May 16-17, 2005:
The SOCCR Coordinating Team is pleased to convene the first workshop of candidate lead authors for the SOCCR. Having completed both an informal comment period on the SOCCR outline and a formal public comment period on the SAP 2.2 Prospectus, the proposed author team is assembling to consider all input and begin work on drafting the report.

The workshop will be held Monday and Tuesday, May 16-17, 2005 at the Atlanta Marriott Airport hotel, Atlanta, Georgia. This workshop is limited by space and is by invitation only. However, if you would like to attend, please contact Ms. Sherry Wright, wrightsb@ornl.gov.

  9:35 Brief summary of authors’ roles and responsibilities (Tony King)

  9:30 Roles and responsibilities of Coordinating Lead Authors, Lead Authors, and Contributing Authors (Tony King)
  10:00 Proposed writing schedule and discussion of manuscript preparation issues, including formatting (Greg Zimmerman)
  10:20 Review of plans for continuation of authors’ interactions and involvement, including interaction with stakeholders (Lisa Dilling)
  10:45 Break
  11:00 Breakout groups for authors to discuss next steps on specific chapters, teaming, and coordination
  12:00 pm Reports from breakout groups and discussion
  12:30 Lunch (to be provided)
